Hi all,
I have a few questions for everyone, but first let me give you a quick summary of my situation.
I live in WV but will be living in IL (clark county) for 4 months (aug-dec) while I intern for a business located in the surrounding area. I dont know anything about the hunting laws in IL as I have never been there. The only experience I have with IL is watching pro-staffers bust brutes on TV. I am hoping to be able to do some hunting while I am in IL during those months if I have any free time from work.

This leads me to my questions:
1) Would I be better off buying an out-of-state license or an in-state license?
2) If I buy an out-of-state license, is there some sort of "lottery" for a buck tag? If so, is that "lottery" over?
3) What would I have to do to qualify for an in-state license?
4) Are there any public hunting areas near clark county that are worth trying?

and last but not least

5) What would you all suggest would be my best course of action for being able to get in some hunting this fall (preferably bowhunting)

Thanks for any and all help everyone.

HERE'S A LITTLE HELP FOR YOU. RESIDENT LICENSE REQUIRES THAT YOU HAVE RESIDED IN ILLINOIS FOR 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ACQUIRING IT. Bow tags are sold over the counter for resident's. $29.00 for 1 either sex and one antlerless. Its easier to get into ground for bow hunting then gun hunting. Place ad's, knock on doors, hang flyers. Advertise for membership in a club or lease. Also you'll have to have an Illinois mailing address for the resident license. We've got great public hutning ground. Every year more of it is becoming resident only too!
