Posting Pictures

If you're new to the forum, here's a place you can make an introduction.

Posting Pictures

Postby KwackWacker » Sun Dec 30, 2007 10:31 pm

Recently DHC made a few changes in the way a member can post pictures. There are two ways to post picture. Each of these ways has been described in detail below.

Uploading a picture into a new post.

1) On the "Post a new topic" page you will see the "upload picture button". It is outlined by a red box in the picture below. Click this button.

Image[/img]

2) Once you click "upload picture" a screen will pop up that looks like this...

Image

On this screen click the browse button and highlight the picture you want to upload. Then click send. Your picture is now uploaded into your new post.

3) It might take a minute or two for the picture to upload. Once it is uploaded the picture will appear in a new window. Under the picture you will see the words "Insert picture: standard", click on "standard" and the upload is complete. You can also choose "insert this picture and upload another one" from this screen.

Uploading a picture using Photobucket/Flickr

1) Go to either of these two sites or any site where you can create an online photo album.

2) Upload your pictures to your online account.

3) While you are making a new post on DHC, click the Img button and insert the IMG code to the picture in your online photo album and then click the Img button again.

PLEASE do not post links to your pictures as it is a pain in the butt to look at those pics.

That's all there is to it. If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I'll help you out.

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but did you click on the "New Topic" of "Post Reply" button first?

If the first option doesn't work use the other method.

They're posted directly into the post. Sometimes computer filters will stop you from being able to view them. If you're on your home computer you might have the security set too high to view them. If you're on a company computer or government computer you're pretty much out of luck.

You should not need the Photobucket account now. You should have the option to post pictures now. Look for the "Upload picture" button to click on when creating a post.
