I hunt with the ML for the feel of old times and i like to stay close to the roots of blackpowder. ;) ie: no scope, sabots, or pellets.
Come out I have you all surrounded.

I use powder and round balls with a patch.

You should be able to switch to powder with no problems. 2 pellets equals 100gr of powder. Look at the powder box and see the brand. You should be able to get loose powder in several brands, hopefully one of them yours.

Well I guess I'm the odd ball...I like the triple 7 pellets...they haven't given me a problem ever and I'm using the new Lightfield Sabots in my Pursuit LT...the three of them seem to be "tack drivers" together...

I'm happy with my set up.

I've used both and find the pellets are a bit cleaner shooting.

To each their own, for me I'm a traditionalist. Give me my flintlock, black powder and a patched round ball during PA late flintlock only deer season and I'm in my glory, nothing like making meat with that load combination.

Now I do have a in-line I use sometimes during the early season. When I use the in-line I use 777 powder for the initial load and two 777 pellets for quick reloading.
I don't kill innocent animals, just the ones that look guilty.
