Postby youngbuck70 » Thu Nov 05, 2009 9:31 pm

i shot a buck with em last night (first time ever shooting something with em) and lets just say i could put my fist through one of the holes. i only pull about 55 pounds and great penetration.. they also fly just like your field points in my opinion. i think theyre worth a shot

Any mechanical has the possiblity of the blades not functioning properly. Thats one of the drawbacks to them. On the other hand, they make big holes. I use NAP Spitfires frequently and love them. My thinking is to keep your shots 40yds or less, 30yds or less preferably. This way your arrow has enough energy to penetrate deeply and open properly. The further you shoot, the less energy an arrow will have and the less chance you have of the head not penetrating or opening.

the 2 blade rage are the only broad head i will ever buy again.i have shot 3 deer this yr,2 6pts and a doe and have seen all 3 drop within 40 yrds.out of the 3,2 of them didn't even have a exit hole and still sprayed blood everywhere.just make sure to get the 2 blade.used the 3 blade last yr and didn't really care for the exit hole with them.oh, also the last 6pt i shot was at 40yrds, so that should tell you how good they fly!

I hear their great, like thowing an axe at a deer. They're mechanical, and therefore I'll stick to my old 125 grain Thunderheads.

Was thinkin about using them, but I shoot 3 blade muzzy.. and after putting my buck down within 50 yards of where I shot him, I don't know if I'll switch.

Maybe I'll give them a shot, but then again, a lot of it is shot placement. So I don't know, been nervous about going to mechanical. I shoot 60lbs on a fred bear element, love the bow, shoots great, and 60lbs seems to be enough... but don't know yet.

Th rage two blades seem to work very well and open up at the slightest resistants more than other mechanicals. Only thing I don't like about them is that they tear up my broad head targets too fast. lol!

Here's a picture of a hole from a two blade rage. Big hole and left a blood trail that was unreal from a horror movie!
