I have been looking for the best rangefinder for the price for the past few weeks. I just bought a Bushnell Chuck Adams edition Bow Hunter Rangefinder and I like it but Cabela's was recently having a sale on Leupold RX 600 Rangefinders and after reading a few reviews i was thinking about returning my Bushnell and getting the Leupold. I know there are a lot of other good Rangefinders in the $200 and less category but I don't know what will be best for what I want. I need one for Bow Hunting but I also would use it during gun season in Southern Michigan. Also I am looking to plan a Colorado trip in the next few years and wouldn't mind having a rangefinder that would be capable of ranging that sort of terrain as well. There are a lot of sides to this but I'm hoping I will be able to get some helpful info on this. Thanks a bunch.

I have been using the Leupold 1000-TBR for a few years now for both bow and rifle and it has worked well. The red led cross hairs are nice for low light conditions, a little hard during the day but still doable.

I just went and returned my Bushnell for the Leupold but i just read some reviews about the Rain/Fog mode not being on the Leupold RX 600 and how it is a disadvantage not to have that... it will be foggy tomorrow in my area of michigan so we will see how it goes. I wont hesitate to exchange haha.

It should work just fine in most conditons, rain and fog are always tough on lasers. Just a heads up on the 600 is that it's max range on deer sized targets is 400 yards. If you plan on shooting farther then that you will want to move up.

Yeah I researched that and it turns out that many of the other brands high powered Rangefinders like the Bushnell 850 and the Nikon 850 only read deer at 200 yards. They only range high reflective objects at those distances. This is another reason I chose the Leupold over the others
