Remington Genisis

Postby Tenpoint » Wed Aug 08, 2007 2:06 pm

I am thinking about buying a muzzleloader. I looked at the various options and was considering a Remington Genisis. I have a Remington 270 and 12 gauge and am very happy with them.

Has anyone tried the Genisis with the "Torchcam Action"? Or have you heard anything good or bad about the Genisis?

Thanks,
Tenpoint

Remington doesn't manufacture the Genesis model. They are made over seas in Spain (I think Spain). Not that is a bad thing. You would probably be able to find the same gun under the Traditions name for less $$$.

Here's a link to the Traditions site. They don't show the exact model of Genesis. They do have a direct link to Remington's site on the homepage. Leads me to believe my assumption is correct.

CVA makes some good lower priced muzzleloaders also: http://www.cva.com/index.htm

Either of these two companies make good guns that won't break the bank. I started out with a $100 dollar CVA and killed several deer with it.
