Welcome to the DHC forum Gary, I wish you good luck on finding someone knowledgable that will help show you the ropes on hunting, field dressing a deer, etc.

Hunting is a lot of fun, just being out there in nature even on days when you don't kill anything can be very enjoyable and you can still learn something but if you can find someone that has hunted for a few years will help speed up your learning curve.
