Ruger SR-22R For Small Game?

I've fired a Ruger SR-22R at a shooting range and really like it, but it seems like it might be too much for small game. I'm really new to firearms and don't know a whole lot about them. I live in Minnesota and want to get into the sport.

for small game try the tourose judge. its a 45 cal. it shoots 45 cal. slugs and 412 shot gun shells. its a really good pistol try it.
