The technology is out there, Savage Arms has been in business for a long time, and i ain't heard of recalls with them like i have remington, as far as i'm concerned between the two .243's that my son and i own his savage action is a hell of a lot smoother and more fluid feel that the remington i have.

Savage does make a good synthetic 243 bolt action! I have shot one and it is as just as good as the remington, if not better!?!

I know what ya mean, Brandons gun was about $60 cheaper than the remington I bought, and I guarantee you it is none less a capable rifle than any identical caliber from any other manufacturer.

I bought a savage 110 from Walmart on clearance at the end of this season it was a combo package for 75.00. yes that's right 75.00. Shoots as good as any gun I have owned. It is a 7mag I put a burris scope on leupold mounts and rings. The only thing that I have found is that the finish work is a little less that adequate but I would buy another one a retail..shoots that good
