I have a spot on top of a large hill and its a good spot where I have seen deer coming through for last 2 seasons. I just got permission to finally put up a treestand in this spot. The problem is there is a 100 ft cliff in back of where I want to put the stand and deer come from both sides. The only access to it is up wind and I use scent control. My question is should I access stand 2 hrs before daylight or dusk or is there some other solution?
Thanks

Both. Depending on the time of season. If the rut is in full swing then I would plan on sitting there all day. I will sit in my stand an hour and a half before daylight and until dark. Make sure you pack a lunch. You can count on the deer coming threw there at anytime during the rut. If it is not the rut yet then I would set a trail camera up and determine what time they are cruising by and go by that.

From the info I read I would get out to my stand atleast 1.5 hrs early. And spray scent control on before stepping foot into the woods.
Good luck and get out early.
