I think that it is time to purchase yourself a new scope.

About how much are you wanting to spend and at what range do you normally shoot at deer?

scope

I hunt the woods type area 60 yards on the outside range.

I looked at a Simmons for abouut $80.00 yesterday, I understands thats a cheap 0 but, it has a lifetime warrenty and a good relief.

Anymore a warrenty isnt much when a company goes down and somebody eles buys them out and wont reconizr the warrenty, Like my old weaver.

I hear ya. I bought a Tasco 3X9 a few years back. It was cheap. Bought it for around $30 at WalMart and have killed quite a few deer using it. However, the morning and evening glare really seems to effect the scope in a really bad way.

There are alot of good scopes out there for under $100. You should get some good feedback and opinions here of different ones in the near future so, keep checking back.

Simmons is a good "cheap" scope. My wife has one on her 30-06 and it is pretty much problem free.I wouldnt put it on a .300 mag or 7 mag because of the recoil but anything uder that I think Simmons is fine.

Simmons are good for what you are wanting. Try getting a fixed power scope. It may better suit your needs. If you want quality and dont worry about price, look into Leupold or Nikon. THey have great quality optics that allow in good light and have great visual quality. The price is a little high for some, but you get what you pay for.

I have a couple simmons scopes, not to fond of them. To hard to see thru them over 3 power. (1.5x5 power whitetail)
Although I only own this model, 3 of them.
I am slowly replaceing my scopes with higher quality models/brands, but I will not spend more than about 250-300.
My wife got a Nikon Buckmasters 3x9 for my birthday to go on my T/C Encore, she chose well. I also have a Burris fullfield 2x7 that I like alot with the balistic plex. My son has a Bushnell 3200 with their rain guard, on his Win94, we like it. I have a Luepold 2x on my revolver that works well.
I have a pair of compact Burris Binocs that I don't like, so go figure.
Ya get what you pay for. Hopefully.
I also have an older Weaver K6, great scope, but currently has a cracked lens

I would just get a new scope, read up, I think Cabelas has a buyers guide that may be helpful. A variable scope in the 1x5/1.5x5/2x7 range should work great for the 60 yd average. Just my 2 cents. Good luck :!:
My wife says I'm obsessed with deer hunting,
she may be right......

Lowest cost high quality scopes I know are Sightron. Not up to Burris, but as good or better than Leupold and Nikon. I own all of the above.
