First hunt coming up

Postby BBQ Bob » Wed Sep 24, 2008 11:24 am

I will. Our first hunt will be October 4th (first Saturday) and the 6th(Monday). We have a few stands set up and we have the climbers for back up. I wish they would let us hunt on Sundays here in PA.

No Sunday hunting...

Postby BBQ Bob » Wed Sep 24, 2008 11:35 am

except for crows. It is very tough to hunt Saturday and just watch deer walk around on Sundays. I think it has been discussed by the PAGC but I never heard why they never changed the laws.

That looks like some really yummy BBQ
Ya here in WI there are no car sales on sundays, but you can buy liquor.
In MN there are no car sales and no liquor sales on sundays.
I live right on the WI\MN border..on Sundays our population doubles because of all the people from MN coming over to buy alcohol..especilly on big football game weekends

Big game hunting used to be illegal on Sundays in South Carolina but I believe they changed that a few years ago. Still can't buy alcohol but you can buy a car.

No worries!

Postby BBQ Bob » Thu Sep 25, 2008 7:38 am

Never need to worry about hijacking one of my threads. I like how things evove and new conversation gets started. I am just happy to be fortunate enough to be able to hunt and cook the food I have harvested. It is a great feeling.

I hunt in Clarion PA so I know these pictures aren't from there. WMU's 2D and anything around it have been ruined by the PGC. Wish my family deer hunting camp had deer like that roaming around. All we do now is get together and drink and hope to see a buck since they don't allocate enough doe licenses for non-residents.

No sunday hunting in Delaware either. But they want more deer killed. It dosent make sense to me.

I dont know how true it is but a guy told me that the law only exist in 10 states.2 years ago i hunted 6 states.Wouldnt you know 5 of them fell into that 10.
