i live in portage county ohio and i want to no when do deer shed ther antlers and were would i look fo them

This antler trap will save you alot of looking around. Haven't ever got around to making one, but they claim it works.

And it works too, or you could fasten a bucket of corn to a tree with wire or cord above it so it sticks out above the bucket, when they lift their heasd out of th ebucket the horns hit the cord and make the antlers fall of. sometimes in the bucket!..LOL

Thats right the traps do work pretty well I am in delaware and the deer havw just about shed all of there antlers. I use some fence whatever kind it might be. I drive posts in the ground on either end and then put the corn inside the fence. WHen they eat it catches the horns and there they are. Its so great. Thats when you notice big boy has been eatin your corn all year just after you leave.LOL,LOL
