shooting where you hunt

Postby ncboy » Wed Nov 03, 2010 9:55 am

I have a question. I think I might be losing the place where I sight in and shoot my guns, but my property is only 20ac and was wandering if it will screw up my deer anc squirrel hunting if I shot there. Im talking around July and August. What you all think?

We shoot our AR-15s, AK-47s, pistols, rifles, and shotguns on the 25 acres we hunt on. We sometimes sight in our rifles the weekend prior to hunting. I wouldn't be worried.

It definitely would not cause a problem sighting in your guns on this property; however, I would forego doing too close to gun season just for safe measure. We sight our shotguns in here in Delaware on the same property we hunt but we try to do it about a month out from the season (or more).
Although this saying might be a little cliche, it's so true... hunting is not just a passion, it's an obsession.....it's part of what defines my life.....and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Yea, thanks for the info. The actual place I want to shoot is not really close to any stands. Its actually just behind our little cabin. I didnt think it would be a problem. I have missed deer with a muzzleloader and they never even looked up. go figure.
