Some coyotes

For those of us who enjoy the pursuit of the little critters too.

Some coyotes

We went out last night and got five dawgs. All in the neighborhood of 40 to 45 lbs. 3 rifle and 2 shotgun. Closest shot was at 15 yds. Anyone else doing anything?

I shot a yote while hunting rabbits this past season, they are getting pretty plentiful around here, maybe I should start hunting them. What is the best way to hunt these critters?
I don't kill innocent animals, just the ones that look guilty.

There are different ways to hunt them but I imagine the majority will sit on a rise or side of a hill with either a mouth call or electronic call (if legal in that state) and while calling use a fur rabbit decoy that shakes by a battery and motor or jerks when pulled by a string going to the hunter.

The idea is to get the 'yotes' attention on the decoy and distress calls so it doesn't notice the hunter on the side of the hill with a rifle so its important to be in a blind or wear camo and have the moving decoy well out in front of the hunter.

Bowhunters thanks for the advice, I think I might just give it a try.
