The majority of this building was uninhabited as the company had closed several years ago. The other end had a pallet company and they were hit hard. That part of the building is in pics below. It is where the overturned truck is and all of the trailers are stacked up.
The funnel started in this field and didnt budge the cannons that you see. They are in the same spot thay always are.
This is another pic of the field where the tornado formed. You can see trees that the limbs were stripped off of in the background. I drove around through there after they reopened the road and looked. Almost all the trees were layed over. What is amazing is that the tornado formed right next to the Stones River National Battlefield Museum and there is zero damage to that building.
Notice the overturned truck.
This building had just had a remodel job and they were getting ready to open for business. Most of the tin toof is in the neighbors parking lot, but part of it is in a tree in another pic.
There used to be more building in front of where the car with the tail lights is.
All those trailers stacked up were in a nice straight line this morning on the way to work.
Look in the tree at the tin from the remodeled building in the pic above.
The upside down truck came from across the street as far as I can tell. The gentleman that owns this company was in my store about an hour before the tornado hit, talking about his fishing trip the day before. I feel for him and his employees.
This building hasnt been up but about 8 months and now the top floor is gone. The people inside were very lucky.
Here are the pics off my phone. I put them in order as the funnel formed.
This is the backside of the tornado after it passed us. The arrow shows it. If you look at the screen the right way, you can see it good.
