The first 13 are taken while I was at the store after the tornado passed. The rest are taken on my way home.

The majority of this building was uninhabited as the company had closed several years ago. The other end had a pallet company and they were hit hard. That part of the building is in pics below. It is where the overturned truck is and all of the trailers are stacked up.

The funnel started in this field and didnt budge the cannons that you see. They are in the same spot thay always are.

This is another pic of the field where the tornado formed. You can see trees that the limbs were stripped off of in the background. I drove around through there after they reopened the road and looked. Almost all the trees were layed over. What is amazing is that the tornado formed right next to the Stones River National Battlefield Museum and there is zero damage to that building.

Notice the overturned truck.

This building had just had a remodel job and they were getting ready to open for business. Most of the tin toof is in the neighbors parking lot, but part of it is in a tree in another pic.

There used to be more building in front of where the car with the tail lights is.

All those trailers stacked up were in a nice straight line this morning on the way to work.

Look in the tree at the tin from the remodeled building in the pic above.

The upside down truck came from across the street as far as I can tell. The gentleman that owns this company was in my store about an hour before the tornado hit, talking about his fishing trip the day before. I feel for him and his employees.
Image

This building hasnt been up but about 8 months and now the top floor is gone. The people inside were very lucky.
Image

Here are the pics off my phone. I put them in order as the funnel formed.

This is the backside of the tornado after it passed us. The arrow shows it. If you look at the screen the right way, you can see it good.

Pretty scary stuff to be sure.

We have a ton of tornado's here in Kansas every spring and even occasionally some in summer and fall.

There was an EF-5 that was estimated to be over 1 mile wide when it went through Greensburg Kansas in 2007, Greensburg is about 1.5 miles wide and the tornado leveled 95% of the town. Luckily only 7 people died, its a really old town and it could have been a lot worse.

Cool pics,,,has been several years since i have been there, but some of it looks very familiar. I have visited Stones River as well,,,hope it was not damaged severely. Hope everything is ok for you and yours. Bow,,yeah Greensburg was very bad. A few years ago we had a major tornadic storm come through, i was in the street doing my best Lt. Dan "Blow you mother blow,,,,you'll NEVER take this house"! The neighbors thought i was absoulutly nuts LOL. The tornado missed by about a mile and a half as the crow flies.
