The big 9

Postby bambeklr » Mon Aug 31, 2009 1:36 am

I pulled the card and it had 1300 pictures on it. The last picture was on the 27 and I picked it up on the 29th so I am not sure what was up. Anyway here are a few pic's. It looks like the big 9 point has been coming in alot more now. I will be waiting on him.

The 8 point and his little buddy are still there every day.

I also got alot of pictures of this big slick head. She need to be taken out to. Looks like things are coming together. I hope the big 9 keeps up his pattern.

You have several very good bucks. On the last picture of the big 9 point, did anyone else notice the nice 10 pt behind him??? :D

If you look at the topic " first corn drop " you will see pictures of the same 10 point. Today will be my first hunt for these 2 bucks. I will kill either of the 2 if they come in. I would rather kill the 9 point since he is and oldewr and mature deer. I beleive that the 10 point is only 2 1/2 years old. But I know I will not be able to pass on him if he comes out. Wish me luck!!!!

Yes, best of luck to you. I know I would have zero issue with releasing an arrow on either one of those bucks. Be safe and enjoy your hunt. Lets see the pictures of you holding one of them by the rack.. :D

Well I have had a horrable day!! saw 18 deer tonight. At 5:30 pm I had a spike come out. I then heard movement to my left and wow. There he was 13 yards. The 9 point slipped in very quiet. Next the tight racked 8 point showed up. The 2 smaller bucks were eating corn and all of the sudden 2 squerells decided to get into a fight on the corn pile and startle the smaller bucks. When they jumped and ran they took big capt hook with them and then everything fell apart. The wind started swirling. Deer started blowing and the evening was shot. This went on every 20 minutes. I got down at 7:15 pm and was walking to the truck. I could hear sirens going off and all that. I figured it was a bad car wreck. You could hear the cop cars screaming down the road. I get to my truck and get the phone call. My friend a georgetown police officer had been shot in the head and killed. I bow hunted with this man many times and actually got him his first shot at a whitetailed deer. He was a good friend and hunter and will be greatly missed!!!

That's awful news Bam. You and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
