The manliest man EVER!

Postby KwackWacker » Fri Oct 10, 2008 10:09 pm

I consider myself pretty manly. I can hunt from dusk to dark. I can catch fish fairly regular. I have camped for 5 days before without taking any food with me, eating only what I could catch or kill. I have been bitten by a cottonmouth and lived to tell the tale. However, I am a wuss compared to Jim West of British Columbia. This guy is killed a bear with a stick. Here's the article.

Got any stories that can compare to Jim's?

Well never bitten by a cottonmouth, but I did climbed Mount Washington in February and sleep in a snow cave. Then from there I hiked/snoeshoed the ridge and Skiied down Tuckermans Ravine. It was a eye opening weekend at -30 below zero at night with winds in the 60-70 MPH range, then during the day mid 20's, sunny and beautiful. But this was all after I completed the US Army Mountain Warefare School. The school specializes in cold weather survival, ice climbing, snoeshoeing, skiing, Mountain climbing, and Mountain navigation.
But still dont think I would want to kill a bear with a stick.

I have never been bitten by a cottonmouth, or have I gone more then five hours without food. I am not a very good fisherman, and when it's -20 I prefer to sleep in my bed. But I did marry a redhead that is meaner then any snake, and has a cold shoulder that makes 20 below feel like a walk on the beach. So how manly am I ?

That's tough to beat, real tough, but I do have a six month old baby girl with red hair. My troubles are just beginning I'm afraid. :D
