we hunt mostly from stands...but on the dark walk back to the truck it does get hairy sometimes...nothing like a quiet walk interupted by a huge splash just feet away from you. the people i hunt with have hunted the land for over 50 years and havent had any incidents yet.

Id be hunting the gators! Nothing like a good blackened gator steak! In fact thats on my "to do" list when I go to FL again next year.

Gators

Postby Bushie Jackman » Thu Aug 14, 2008 6:22 am

That's seems extremely wild to me StillHunter. I never imagined Hunters having to deal regularlywith things like Gators, or Wolves on a daily basis while hunting. That's why I like this site, it's interesting to read things like this.
Thanks for the reply!

when i was going down to fl. for hog hunting i also checked in to hunting gators and i could not believe the price. I think it started at $700. to $1900. Thats just crazy to me. But sure would have loved doing it.

Try Georgia, it's much cheaper but you have to be drawn for a quote hunt.
Keep the tradition alive, teach a kid how to hunt.
