I went this morning. I stayed up kinda late last night and made it to the land at 6:30(dang it). Well there was a doe and her twins there so I drove past her and got out going to see if there were more deer in the field with her. As I topped the hill there was a huge coyote out walking around the fields. I put a stalk on the deer and it was only her and the fawns. Well after I stepped back out into the field I saw movement. I thought it was the coyote, nope it was a bobcat. I stood there trying to think if it was season or not. Well I let it walk and I started to stalk down to another field, jumped the bobcats brother/sister/mate. I was surprised. I made it to the other field and didnt see anything. So I turned my attention to the coyote. I stalked over to where I last saw it using the wind to my advantage, but he/she wasnt there.
I went to another property about 5 min. away and set up the pop-up blind. Not more than 30 min. after setting it up a 7-8 pointer came out. Well, I had all three windows open trying to watch all sides. When the buck came out I picked up my binocs and he saw me thru the screen and bolted. I dont think he knew what I was but, he saw movement and didnt hang around. I could see one side pretty good and it had 4 points. I could quite tell on the other side if it had 3 or 4 points. Oh well I will next time.
Curiosity killed the cat, but I was a suspect for a while......
