Top Tusks

Postby AussieHog » Sat Jun 09, 2007 6:42 pm

Just wanted to show you a photo of a set of tusks taken by a good friend of mine, Wayne, last year. The tusks measured 33 4/8 Douglas points and currently sit at equal 5th in the standings. The pig was shot in the Northern Teritory with a 12 guage.Image

That is a beast, must have been a monster. Any other pictures of the beast before or after the harvest. Other than the mount

Sorry, no. I know Wayne has a photo of the pig just after he shot it but it isn't a very good one. The pig itself wasn't all that spectacular, probably would have weighed 70-80kg but it was old. He recently shot a real big hog with a great cape so he is getting the tusks mounted into it. I'll get a photo of the mount when it is done.
