Trail Cams

I don't have any pics, but I do have a question for all you that do have cams. What is the most bang for your buck out there now. my girlfriends dad has over probably 15 or 20 cuddeback xperts. but I don't want to put 400 bucks into a camera. I know you get what you pay for. but there has got to be something out there that is just as nice and al little more affordable!

Bushnell trophy cams are nice from what I have heard. Long battery life and they are really small. I have 3, a Moultrie D40 (nice flash cam, very dependable), a Wildgame Innovations IR4 (pretty good, inexpensive cam, but you will end up modifying it for an external battery due to crappy plastic that breaks), and a Moultrie I60 (new for me, so not much experience with it yet). Ill shoot you a link to a good site for reviews.

Bushnell trail sentry infereds work great for me. Have never had a problem with them and choose not to switch my product as long as their is no problem. Give it a try.

I'll stand by my Moultrie Game Spy I-40.
Love it. You can get them for $150 or so from Walmart.

Infrared flash, so they don't spook.
Video option.
Date/Time/Temperature/Location stamp.

Here's a picture I just pulled off of it.

The Wildview EZ Cams are dirt cheap and take a decent photo. I bought a two pack on sale for $120.00 (Canadian). There is only an iridescent flash and no movie, but they take decent pictures of deer. The resolution is not great, but it gets the job done. You know how big the bucks are and what time they are out and about.

Here are a couple sample pics...

I have several different makes and models of cams. I have a personal preference to my Moultrie Game Spy I-50. Its got the infrared, its light, durable, takes great pics. But the best two features is that its VERY affordable and the battery life is AMAZING. Mine has been out in the woods since beginning of august and is still on the same set of batterys.

Those pics by rangefinder are great!
How do you do the weatherproofing on your cams? I would really like to be able to get pictures like these. Also how much would it cost to get a motion-detector type of thing for the camera?
Me and the boys are going on some private land found on Acreage for sale and we have been hearing some good things about this one. Will be bringing my old sony-dsc717 (I know I need to upgrade). Hope to be able to post some good pics here soon.

I currently have a Bushnell Trophy Cam, Wildgame Innovations X6C, and Cuddeback Capture (not IR).
I love the Bushnell. I've had no issues with it. It has great battery life, and performs well both daytime and IR. I love capturing video, and the IR video at night is pretty decent.
The Wildgame Innovations X6C was a cheaper camera, and doesn't perform as nicely. I had some issues with it when I first got it, called their support, and had to run through a reset process on the cam. That helped. It performs OK, but the battery life isn't the best. The IR images are pretty sharp though.
The Cuddeback Capture is a pretty incredible camera for under $200 bucks. Simple to set up, has a very fast trigger, and the battery life is pretty darn good. The only bad thing is that it doesn't do video, which I like. But the camera performs so good on other levels that it is a trade off I'm willing to make.

I am also very interested in the SpyPoint cams, and have heard good things. I see another game camera in my future...
I love my: Matthews Switchback, Leupold Vendetta, Slick Trick Broadheads

I use covert cameras. I love there pictures and they are resonably priced. The battery life is amazing. I never switch the batterys all year and can use them again the following for other things. I use 8aa energizer lithiums. I get around 1200 to 1500 pic a week. Here are a few pictures.

Nice pictures. The only pictures of bucks I am getting on my property are of a few 6 pointers. Not sure where all the big boys are hiding. Both cameras I use were on sale (at different times) and only paid $60 for each. I have a Wildgame Innovations and a Wildview EZ Cam. Battery life on the Wildgame Innovations isn't very good but they both get the job done.
