I was bowhunting this year and was just leaving my hunting spot when i caught movement out of the corner of my eye.turned my head a bit and saw a big body.I immediately dropped down on my knee and watched for a few seconds and it looked like he just disappeared so i slowly started walking over to where i last saw it and sure enuff the deer was laying there .i grabbed a stick and nudged him a little. He rose up real shaky and i was face to face with a ten pointer.less than 10 feet away he just stood there and looked at me with a really pitiful look on his face.I told him i wasn't gonna shoot him and he just slowly walked away with his head down.I wasn't gonna shoot him at that close of range .no sport in that.and i also think he was either sick or wore out from chasin does.i told my buddy that and he said i was full of .... but those are the facts. i have never been that close to a deer before in all my years of hunting. my cousin told me he bout got kicked in the head by a doe while he was driving deer. just thought i would share with yall. take care all !!!!
