Heres a little 8 point I killed on 12-5-09, in the snow. whick here does not happen very often in south louisiana, so it was already a beautifull hunt even before this guy came out.

lol,...I hunted that morning too,....was unusual to see all that white!

This was killed just down the road from you cottonport....in Big Cane. Guy next to me killed a very nice 8 pt ...15 inch spread real good mass and high tines, deer weighed 205lbs.

sweet,.....I've only been seeing does where I'm hunting,...but heck,....I meat-hunt primarily,.....I couldn't afford to mount anything anyways

Is that common place to see deer like that on your lease?

Yeah it is, this past year we killed 30 deer 14 of them were doe's, the rest were bucks, we have a 6 pt 12" spread minimum, the deer I killed had a 12" spread so yeah thats the bottom standard for our bucks. We did kill 5 or 6 really nice bucks. We have 35 members on 3300 acres. There are going to be a handfull of people(4 or 5) getting out this year but there supposedlly is a waiting list.
