Im in Champaign county and have been hunting my whole life. As you know we don't have mich timber here but what is around holds nice deer! Will be working on food plots and trail cutting soon!

Hello, Morgan county here. We hunt Morgan, Cass, Pike and Scott mainly now with a few bowhunts along the Sangamon river. Those flatland or prairie deer can be hard to hunt. I hunted years ago by Alexander, Illinois and theres few trees there but some awesome bucks. That was about 20 miles south of Jim Edgar to put it in perspective. Ground blinds and unpicked corn fields were the norm for bow. Homemade tri pods etc for gun season set up by whatever cover was available. Lots of big typicsl bucks and heavy does.
