Western Washington deer

Postby Naturalwonderz » Thu Jun 22, 2006 12:44 am

Been out of the loop for several years, now I've found a partner to go out with. But, at the moment, I was wondering if anyone here knew of some good areas for white-tail and/or mule? I know it's close to the season to start scouting out areas and I should have started sooner, only I didn't know this friend was intrested in anything outside predator hunting. ... Enough of my insane rambling for now, thank you in advance. Any help that anyone could provide would be greatly apperciated.

if you want to hunt deer in western wa the you are going to have to go for blacktail and or elk. alot of people like forks for both. capitol forest in olympia has both but is better for deer. forest service roads on hwy 2 by the skykomish is good for deer. pretty much any timber company land is excellent particularlly the rainier tree farm. (my spelling sucks almost as bad as my typing) it really depends on where you coming from i am sure there is great hunting right near you. but realize hunting for blacktails is a little different than whitetail or mulie hunting. if it is raining you best be in the woods. let me know where your at and i can be more helpful. if there are cyotes there are deer. good luck hope this helped
