WHAT DO U THINK IS THE BEST BROADHEAD???????????????????????

Postby yankees33 » Thu Sep 29, 2011 9:42 am

I personally think that the Meat-Seeker 3-blade 100 grain is the best broad-head on the market these days. I mostly think this because it has a 2 inch cutting diameter!!! And any real hunter knows that a 2 inch cutting diameter is pretty big. Also the Buck-blaster 125 grain broad-head has a 2 3/4 inch cutting diameter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it has 6 blades on it. It has the 3 fixed blades and 3 mechanical that deploy on impact leaving a massive hole in the deer. If i was looking for a better broad-head to take down deer, bear, moose, elk, ex. I would go buy the Meat-Seeker or the Buck-Blaster by ROCKET BROADHEADS. (Trophy Ridge)

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PRODUCTS

Post a reply of what u think is the best broadhead. I would like to see.

i think the G5 montecs are the best. they have a solid steel blade and they are very durable. they are expensive but its the only ones ill use.

I have been using the G5 Strikers, but might switch to some thing else that flies closer to my field points.

i can get the g5s hitting arrows. it got so bad i cldnt shot at the same target. they are very accurate and ive killed deer with them. ive even stuck a tree with them and they were still solid. i have alot of faith in these. no blades to change, no worry about a mechanical failure, and never have to worry about a broken broadhead. its one solid piece that keeps on sticking.

They are nice but I am talking at farther distances. Because of the bigger blades they like to drift in the wind.

Many a deer have succumb to the old Fred bear broad head a sharp well placed shot does the job every time. I do not use any fancy heads but the 125gr thunderheads have flown great and have taken a lot of deer with no problems.

ok, this could go on forever.

Expandables typically have larger cuts and better flight patters. Downside is they lose energy when they have to open. Sometimes wide cuts are not going to perform well on quartering shots. Sometimes they may deploy early from hitting a twig or just sitting in a stand. I've personally had the rage open from just sitting still. Of course that isn't a big issue until you get excited from seeing a big one and don't look at your broadhead. But, if you have a fast bow, take ethical shots, and have clear shooting lanes - go for the expandables.

But, if you are like me and have had little to no success on expandables and always come crawling back to fixed blades then I have a few suggestions.

1. Muzzy - just an awesome broadhead.
2. Thunderhead - another awesome broadhead
3. Mangus - another awesome broadhead

I have experience with all three of these and I give them the go ahead.

Some I would like to try that look incredible.
1. Red Feather Archery Phoenix
2. Steelforce Phathead
