I like carbon. I shoot the Carbon Express Maxima Hunters. Very nice arrows. Just my opinion though.

I'd say carbon is the way to go but I haven't actually made the switch myself. I still hunt with aluminum arrows. I hunt with Easton XX75 in size 2216 with 125 Thunderhead broadheads and either 4" or 5" vanes. However, carbon arrows seem to have more durability and provide better shooting accuracy.

I shot aluminum for years right up until about three years ago. Imade the switch to Carbon and I have to say it's worth it. They shoot better, penetrate further and last longer. I shoot Carbon Expess Terminator Lights and they have been great. Just about any crabon will do. You dont' have to spend a bunch of money on them, just get something that is reasonably priced. Good luck.

I used to shoot aluminum. But now only carbons. I shoot Easton Axis arrows with 100gr Thunderheads.

I was also debating this same thing the other day. I bought a used bow that came with Easton XX78 Superslam/superlite arrows. And I bought a couple carbon arrows at walmart. the Carbon Express Terminator Hunter 4560. I shot a few groups with 2 carbon 2 aluminum. It seemed like the carbon shot just a hair lower than the aluminum, and I think that was due to it's smaller diameter. So it sits lower in my drop down rest. I wonder how much the carbon weigh compared to the alum. I think I'm going to start shooting carbon.

What is your draw weight Josh?

If you are more than 60lb, you will need to change those terminator arrows out for 6075's. If you are drawing between 45 and 60lbs, you should be good to go with what you have.
