All the major name brands seen in commercials of hunting tv shows and in hunting magazines make good plot mixes that whitetail will like to eat, what is best for me here may not work well at all for you in your area.

It can be directly affected by where you live, the soil type, how much mosture you get each year, does the land get good drainage or is it swampy, etc..

So when you see a mix that looks good I would suggest you look at their site or do a google on it if you don't know the site, most of the deer food plot sites are very good at showing which mixes work in what types of soils and when to plant them, how much moisture they need to do well and even how to prepair the seedbed and what fertilizers to use etc.

You may want to read some of the other threads in this Food Plots section as they may give you some incite into what you will need to do.

Is there any type of food plot mixture that is very aggressive?
Such that I could throw some seeds on public land and create nature food plots?

You should probably check with the DNR in your state before you go planting a plot on state land. As far as I know, it is illegal to do so.

Not on stste land..... where I live in ohio there are many "public land" areas
not state land just land that has open hunting if you will
most of it is future strip mine land some future land fill etc
and the companies that own it allow open hunting

Gottcha, I would still check to make sure first. There are many seed mixes out there that are made for just raking the area of debris and then throwing the seed on the bare ground. I planted a fall plot this year that did ok, but when I replant it, I will be using fertilizer, as I did not this time. Even without it, mine still did pretty good and it gets alot of action from the deer.
