Isn't it kinda weird that all the mods who are usally here all year long haven't been around?I noticed that they all went missing around the time we got the makeover.don't know if that's got anything to do with it.

AH, it's good to be missed. :)

Hello ladies, sorry I have not been around in a while. I've been busy with work and looking after the rug rats. What free time I did have I got out and bagged some fat Canada Geese. We're gonna do a mess of meat sticks with the goose meat (hmmmmm). I hope to check in a bit more frequently now.

Nothing to do with the new site look, just coincidental. Kwack has just been busy too, he'll be back.

Cheers all and good luck to everyone in 2010!

Who you calling old?

Us moderators and administrators have a unique forum only we have access to, and the other day Richard was teling me how he was sitting on the porch, in the rocking chair, with nothing on from the waist down. Then he told how his grandson came by and said "Grandpa, what are you doing out here with no pants on?"

So Richard said, "Well I dunno, last week I sat out here with no shirt on, and I got a stiff neck. This was your Grandma's idea!"

Hiya Browtine,

Glad to see you're getting out there. Best of luck sticking that big buck. Keep us posted on your sucess.

Tomorrow is opening morning in most of Ontario for bow. I really have to get into bow hunting, but my wife has other ideas.

due to the kiddos, work, and everything else i didnt get out much last year. and like Brow tine i got skunked. bow season just opened here in my county in virginia. was lucky enough to take a nice 2 1/2 year old buck the evening of opening day. would have been a nice 8pt but somehow managed to break off his two brow tines. prolly should have looked at that BEFORE the shot huh? haha guess the excitement of the hunt and the thought of juicy tenderloins took over my thought process!! hahaha Still a great buck and great hunt. lots of season left to hunt the big boys! good luck everyone!!

heres the funny part. i am a dipper. usually its copenhagen but when bow hunting, i dip skoal sour apple. just something i have done for few years now. people get all worried and say the deer dont like that smell. well let me tell you this. i have had MANY MANY deer walk up and lick that spit right off the side of my tree while i am 20ft above them. well after i shot that buck opening day, the smaller spike horn that came in with him walked right up to my tree and licked it not 3 minutes AFTER i shot his buddy. i personally have not one but TWO videos on my cell phone from THIS year of deer licking my tree. and if anyone doesnt believe it. Give me your email address and i will send you the video of what i have come to call my "dipspit buck" hahahaha
