Where to get the best broadheads.

Postby ShawnD » Sat Sep 10, 2011 6:56 am

I'm looking for broadheads for bow season. Bow hunting is new to me and i need to know what kind of broadheads and where to get them. I have FatBoy arrows ( Carbon ) and Nano's ( Also Carbon ). If you could tell me where to find these broadheads that are screw on or you can just place them on your existing field point tip then I would be very happy. :D

Where did you buy your bow and the accessories that went with it? If you got them at a Pro Shop, that is where I would look. If you bought it off a friend or online, then you will need to find a bow shop near you. They will also come in handy when it comes time for repairs and/or adjustments. I would suggest a 100gr head and avoid cheaply priced heads. Most good broadheads are in the $40 price range for 3. Muzzy's come in 6 packs for $40 and they are good also.

I got my bow from my Coach. It is an Alpine Nitro ( With Skulls ). I live near a shop called Solo Archery so I will check there for Muzzy's. I would think for Muzzy's, $40 would be a fair amount for six if they are not much heavier than my field point tip. I will look around. Thank you for your help!!!! :D

Can you send me a couple pics of a 100gr arrow? Where would you get Muzzy's?

You match your broadhead weights to your fieldpoint weight. Take a field point with you to the bow shop when you go and have them weight it. Once that is done, get broadheads of the same weight.

I've answered this question once and you responded. I'm not going to answer it again.
