Which is better to Use??

I got a 12ga Auto, which is better to use...00 Buckshot, 4 buck or 1 buck??? Most shots are within 40 yds

If your going to aim at chest/lung area use the 00,if head/neck 1 buck.I personally would not use 4 buck unless it was only load offered like in 20 guage

I'd try several of each and pattern them to see what shoots best out of your gun. Are you required to use buckshot? Slugs are usually a better alternative.

what ever you choose to use i suggest you take head shot on your doe so you dont have any meat loss

I would use slugs.. buckshot is a thing of the past.. i cant see any atvantages of buckshot over slugs.

As others have posted see what patterns best from your gun as every gun is different. Try also from different ammo manufactories. 2 3/4" Federal "O" buck is what I use. 3" doesn't seem to pattern as well.
