I had the whisker bisket and it was nice, but I thought it made a little too much noise and slowed down my arrow a little. Not really sure if it effected my accuracy much, but I went with the trophy hunter fall away rest and really like it much better. There are advantages to to the whisker bisket over other rest, but in my opinion it's small.

The bad part of the hostage rest, from what i hear, is that the brushes wear out and need replaced. How often? I dont know, but for the minor difference between it and the WB, Id stick with the WB. My buddy shoots one, and its silent as far as I can tell, I will be replacing my rest with one this year.

I would go to a drop away rest. They also have clips that will hold your arrow in place even if the bow is upside down. If thats the reason you are wanting the whisker biscuit. I have a clip on my bow and I can draw with my arrow in it. It just pops out when I draw.

I've been using the WB for years and never had a problem with it, even in freezing rain and snow in Canada. Just wondered about the Hostage I also heard the brushes wear extremely fast.

Not sure about the brushes on them. But I know the buscuits will hurt the fletchings after a while. Thats why I always stayed with and open rest. The drop aways stop all hand torgue. Once you hit the release nothing is touching the arrow at all. You have true flight and nothing to slow you down. Just my opinion.

Back when they first came out with the wb i heard that about the fletchings but they said that was just on feathers.Im no expert though.I shoot a wb and dont go through the fletchings anymore than normal.

Makes sense that a WB would wear or damage fletchings after continued use because they are typicaly thicker than plastic vanes so there is alot more contact on the pass through.

I had some heat marks on the vanes from the WB last year I switched to a 4" vane and the marks went away.

I bought a hostage rest ... I hated it.. the brushes wore out ont he bottom and side ... in less then 150 shots. I was told it would take 300-400 shots before needing to be changed. My accuracy was effected badly because my rest wasn't the same after every shot. I changed back to my drop away and I don't regret it at all.

There is another company out there that makes a hostage rest with a felt/plastic bottom stand...that doesn't wear at all..

I bought a Wisker Bisquit once, and 2 hrs later I returned it. The WB started damaging my fletchings right away. I was using 2 inch Blazer fletchings.
