I did a little research for you and here's what I found.

25-08 - I got spotty results. Apparently it does exist, however nobody seems to like it.

8mm-08 - I found a few folks who had experimented with poor results.

8mm-06 Seems like a very popular wildcat round. There's lots of inof out there on this round along with ballistics tables and handload recipes.

6.5mm-06 This does exist, however it is basically squeezed in between a .25-06 and a .270. Ballistically the three are damned near identical. Everything I saw on these rounds ended with a question of "why wildcat a round that already exists?"

22-08 I didn't find any info on this one but that could be due to the fact that there are so many .22 caliber wildcats out there already.

My stepdad had a 44-17,he necked down the 44 mag cases for a 17 cal. bullet. His dad actually built the rifle in the 70's with a mauser action no less.Varmit gitter like nobodys business.
Want my ammo?Ok,stand downrange.

25-08- Stick with the .25-06(more case capacity for powder)
8mm-08- Not enough case capacity for powder to get good ballistics
6.5-06- Look into the 6.5-06 Ackley Improved(better ballistics than the .25-06 and .270)
8mm-06- requires handloading. Ballistics well exceed the .30-06. Use the Ackley improved version and add 100fps to the velocity.
22-08- Go with the .22-250. more info available. Great round.

On a side note, the 6.5mm bullet has some of the best ballistics of all calibers out now.
