Since you mention kits I take it you are looking for small items to put together in a box. One thing that is always handy are pocket warmers. The kind you squeeze and shake and they heat up. If they are deer hunters you might consider calls, cover scents, unscented soaps and deoderant. Gloves or mittens, the kind you can expose just your fingers thru. A sharpening stone, especialy for the youngster.

I think Gary nailed it. You could also get hunting videos. Maybe throw in a gift card also.

I'd just get them a gift card. Can't go wrong that way.

Hi Albamabelle,
I've been thinking about this for a few days. I'd have to go with Doc and Quigley. Everynow and then someone who loves me gets me something to take hunting that just is more work than its worth. Gee I hope they aren't reading this. I got a pillow to sit on one year, hand made all out of moisture absorbing cotten. Not like I don't have enough natural paddding. And you have to take it with you even if you leave it in the wagon when you get where you're going.

Generally I like to make my own stuff. I keep it simple. I just don't need a rear view mirror to help me look behind me in a tree stand. So get them a gift card. It shows you care and lets them get what they need/want. Plus it is a great excuse to get to a bass pro shop, the only place where real guys shop like women.

I would definately agree with warmers... They are not expensive at all here we have ones at the bucks store that you place in your gloves or your shoes and a deer hunter will definately appreciate that gift...nothing better than being warm on a freezing cold day. Do they have antlers? If they don't you can always buy fake antlers (they look just like real ones) these sound real and look real and is a good call during rut....when the males are competitive... Videos are also really cool..you can never watch too many hunting videos. I'd have to say though...gift cards are really a good idea! They can get what ever they want with em... There is one last thing..i haven't tried it myself but ive seen on tv...its at attractant called c'mere deer and its supposed to be AMAZING!!! It attracts deer like kids to candy! Might wanna look into that! I love your xmas spirit!! MERRY XMAS!
